1 - What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a site stores on the device of the person consulting it, a computer, tablet or smartphone, and that it can read back during the visit or on later visits.

Besides cookies, the rules also cover the other tools that make it possible to store information on the device or to access information already stored there, such as the local storage of the browser and the techniques that identify a device by observing its configuration.

2 - The cookies used by this site

The site www.ets-ita.com uses no cookies, neither technical nor profiling cookies, and employs no other tracking tools. In particular, the site does not use:

• statistics or traffic analysis tools, whether its own or a third party’s;
• profiling, advertising or retargeting cookies;
• embedded third party content, such as videos, maps or widgets: the videos in the pages and the typefaces are served directly by the server of the site;
• browser local storage or device identification techniques.

The contact form sends the message without setting any cookie.

The administration area, reserved for the people in charge of updating the content of the site, stores in the browser of those editors only the information needed to sign in. It does not concern visitors to the site.

3 - Why no banner is shown

The consent and the banner required by the rules serve to authorise the storing of information on the device of the user and access to information already stored there, under article 122 of Legislative Decree 196/2003 (the Italian Personal Data Protection Code). Since this site neither stores nor reads any information on the devices of its visitors, there is no consent to ask for and no banner to show.

The Italian Data Protection Authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, clarified in its Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools of 10 June 2021 that the banner is not required even for sites that use only technical cookies, for which the notice on its own is sufficient.

4 - Links to social networks

The links to the social network profiles of ETS are plain links to the respective pages: they set no cookies when the pages of the site are opened and collect no data. If users choose to follow them, the notices of those services apply from the moment they leave this site.

5 - The data the site processes in any case

The absence of cookies does not mean that the site processes no personal data. Browsing data acquired by the computer systems and data sent with the contact form or by e-mail are processed as described in the Privacy Policy, which also gives the identity of the controller and explains how to exercise the rights of the data subject.

6 - Browser settings

No setting needs to be changed in order to browse this site. The settings of the browser remain available to users in any case, to manage and delete the cookies of every site they visit.

7 - Updates

Should the site introduce cookies or other tracking tools in the future, such as statistics tools or third party content, this page will be updated before they are activated and, where the rules require it, consent will be collected before they are used.
